I bought these because I was so happy with the long pant leg version. They are the same rugged material and look. I like them allot! They are a bit on the snug side so be aware that your normal size will be a bit tighter. I think this is a style issue (slim as opposed to baggy). All in all, great, comfortable shorts!

I purchased these shorts for a great price for my husband (not sure I'd pay regular price). The 'loden' color is a very dark green and my husband is happy with both the color and the quality. He wore them yesterday and worked all day (doing carpentry-type work) and he kept commenting how comfortable they were.
I'd buy more for 8.99 if there were any left in stock in his size!
