Product Description Thanks to GSI?s nForm nesting system, the Pinnacle Dualist cookset gives two hungry backpackers a durable, compact, and lightweight solution for backcountry dining. The Dualist is so light and versatile, that it garnered a coveted Editor?s Choice award from Backpacker Magazine in 2008. Two bowls, two mugs with sipping tops, two telescoping Foons (fork / spoon), and an ultralight stove and small fuel canister all fit neatly inside the 1.8-liter pot (stove and fuel sold separately). GSI also included a small bag so your stove doesn?t scratch the pot and a welded stuff sack that doubles as a small wash basin.

My wife and I just started backpacking in early 2009 and borrowed a pot and stove from a friend. We recently went on a 5 nighter in Big Bend Natl Park and decided to complete our equipment set before we went. We bought the Pinnacle Dualist because:
1) It has everything we needed for cooking, eating, and drinking coffee.
2) It packs up super small even with a MSR 8oz fuel canister and our new Snow Peak Giga Power Stove with Piezo
3) It is remarkably affordable compared to other backpacking cookware options!
We love it! It does everything we thought it would and it is super easy to clean and is very light weight. The friend that went with us on the trip is now planning to buy one for himself. This set is a so brainer.
Great set, more than necessary March 24, 2010 Hampy Camper (midwest) 4 out of 4 found this review helpful
Got this for some upcoming hikes, and went for Dualist over soloist for flexibility. Good choice, for me - everything fits in bag including Brunton Raptor stove (also fantastic), two sets of cups, bowls, and there's room for a large size canister, and a canister stand. Since my son carries his own mess kit, I really only need one set of bowls for this. By removing one cup/bowl set, I can get a small stuff sack full of coffee, creamer, spices, etc... inside the pot. Proved a nice size pot for a boyscout trip, because we could get 4 small cups of coffee or cocoa everytime we fired up the stove.

I love ... LOVE.. this set. It's lightweight considering everything you get, packs up small, is made of fantastic materials and has just been well designed all over. The insulated sippy cup keeps my campfire coffee nice and warm on cold spring mornings. I've never had anything burn/stick to the bottom of the generous sized pot and adore the vented lid (keeps bugs, ashes and wilderness out of my food :D ). This is always in my backpack for hiking trips.
PERFECT FOR BACKWOODS CAMPING! October 30, 2009 M. Klein 1 out of 4 found this review helpful
My husband and I don't know what we did without this guy. We use it every time we camp- it is great quality and packs up so small!
Nice on the portage. October 11, 2009 Stephen F. Miller (Pennsylvania) 5 out of 5 found this review helpful
Recently took Dualist kit with me on an wilderness canoe camping trip. Lightness much appreciated when humping gear and canoes on the portage trail. Sporks are pretty much useless as they fall apart without much prompting. Bought this to conserve fuel as it holds enough water for a dehydrated meal and a few cups of coffee. As with the soloist version I needed to cut back the handle rubber so it didn't burn when cooking on my MSR Whisperlite stove with windshield.
