Product Description Drip-brews coffee just like your household coffeemaker, plus it makes many other hot drinks like hot cocoa, hot cider, and even soup. It features a removable swing-out filter basket, solid steel base, easy-pour decanter, and brewing pause-N-serve. The coffeemaker works with 2 and 3-burner campstoves. It holds enough water to make 8 to 12 cups of coffee. Includes coffee.
Amazon.com There's nothing like a hot cup of coffee on a sleepy outdoor morning, but camping French presses and drip filters can be messy and time consuming, especially if you're camping with a group.
The Coleman camping coffeemaker sits atop a Coleman 2- or 3-burner stove. | Enter the Coleman camping coffeemaker, which makes up to ten 6-ounce cups of coffee without requiring an electrical outlet. Instead, the Coleman coffeemaker sits atop a Coleman two- or three-burner camping stove, where it draws all the heat it needs to brew a delicious pot. The unit includes all the standard coffeemaker features, including a swing-out filter basket, a solid steel base, and an easy-pour decanter. The coffeemaker even offers a pause-and-serve feature, so you can interrupt the brew to pour a cup--a must for sleepy-eyed campers. The Coleman camping coffeemaker brews a full pot in roughly 10 minutes, and can be used for tea or hot chocolate as well. About Coleman More than 100 years ago, a young man with an entrepreneurial spirit and a better idea began manufacturing lanterns in Wichita, Kansas. His name was W.C. Coleman, and the company he founded would change life in America. A man plagued with such poor vision he sometimes had to ask classmates to read aloud to him, Coleman saw a brilliant light in 1900 in a drugstore window that stopped him in his tracks. He inquired about the light inside and discovered he was able to read even the small print on a medicine bottle by the illumination. The lamps had mantles, not wicks, and were fueled by gasoline under pressure instead of coal oil. Soon afterward, Coleman started a lighting service that offered a "no light, no pay" clause--a big step forward for merchants who were burned by inferior products that rarely worked--and drew substantial interest from businesses that wanted to keep their lights on after dark. In the ensuing years, Coleman expanded its product line well beyond lanterns. The company's current catalog is thick with products that make spending time outdoors a pleasure. There are coolers that keep food and drinks cold for days on end, comfortable airbeds that won't deflate during the night, a complete line of LED lights that last for years, powerful portable grills that cook with an authentic open-grill flame, and much, much more. Coleman has truly fashioned much of our outdoor camping experience, and expects to do so for generations to come. END

Sloooow cooker July 26, 2010 Lilmeadow After some usage, the maker takes for ever to brew 6-8 cups.35-45 minutes. Tried cleaning with vinger, but no good. The coffee made does taste real good, if you c coffeean wait that long!
Coffee tastes like burnt plastic. July 24, 2010 Brian Stephens We were excited to ditch cowboy coffee and brought this with us camping. I followed the instructions and it appeared to work, but the coffee tasted like burnt plastic. I don't think I had the burner on too high, but who knows. There is plastic really close to where the burner goes. We went and got a couple MSR Mugmate Coffee Tea Filter and the coffee tastes just like home, brews faster, and best of all the mugmates are tiny compared to this massive coffee maker.
Works as advertised, but a bit bulky July 23, 2010 EILEEN GLICK (PHOENIX, AZ United States) I purchased this coffeemaker for those times when I don't have electrical hookups in campgrounds. I've used it on a number of occasions and, yes, it does make good coffee. But I'm a solo traveler, so a 10-cup unit is a bit of overkill for me, especially considering its size. I own a Casita travel trailer and have to remove the grate from my stove for it to fit under the stove's hood. As has been said on other reviews, the handle needs to be aligned with the front of the unit in order for it to properly drip. Once the coffee has stopped brewing, you MUST turn off the flame immediately...which means you'd better be ready to drink the coffee right away or transfer it into an insulated carafe...unless you don't mind cold coffee. This model doesn't come with a storage bag, so I keep it in the handled box it came in, which takes up a good amount of space in my small trailer. I'm planning to sell this unit and will switch to a teapot and Nescafe Clasico instant coffee (which gets great reviews, even from coffee afficionados).
Great buy July 16, 2010 D (Nashua, nh) This coleman camping stove is awesome. It works great and worth the buy. Its easy and works better and way faster then a perculator were you get the grizzle in your coffee. I found that it took longer then 10 minutes to brew a full pot but it was faster then the perculator. This product was also not as heavy as i thought it would have been, it worked out when packing. I wish i found this sooner in my camping days.
it works but dead SLOW July 13, 2010 Noah Baldwin (san diego, ca) It works and makes good coffee but it is dead SLOW, so as long as you are not in a hurry while camping or need to leave quickly in the morning to get somewhere, then it is fine. But it is really, really slow.
